Best hosting provider

Hi guys

I am looking for a good hosting solution for my future RageMP server. 
The server has to be hosted on a windows based machine.

What hosting provider can you recommend me? 
I was looking at Citadel Servers but someone said they are terrible at customer support and their prices are not so good.

Get yourself a VPS and host it on that. Not worth to add the +30$ price because every "rage hosting" charges 0.5$ per slot when you can host it on a VPS and get 5x better price. Search for reputable VPS companies (read reviews on google) and choose one that fits your needs. Recommended to choose one in the country where you know you will have the most players from so they get the lowest ping.

Also, why do you need a windows based machine? That's just a waste of resources, Windows will eat a lot of your resources that else could be allocated to the rage server itself. You can host a rage server on linux even if you use C# for server-side as it uses net-core and not net-framework.

I know it's a waste of resources, but linux server for RageMP had problems in the past and I don't want to wait on updates to make it work like it should. 

Regarding VPS, most of them ask you to take a domain, which I currently don't need. I did find one which is actually great for the price, OVH Hosting. Do you have any experience with them?

Been searching for more, Vultr seems like a better option than OVH

OVH is great, if not the best and most reliable hosting.

However I do not recommend a VPS for a RageMP server, unless you plan to be alone on it.  As for linux, If you're using the bridge It's indeed not working well right now.

RAGE MP works like a charm on Linux. There are even servers handling 1K players without issues, even with C#. Some populated NodeJS servers also use Linux without issues.

Vultr is also way more expensive than OVH. If you can handle it I'd rather get a dedicated server. You can get one from soyoustart.com (it's ovh) for ~35€ or Hetzner Server Auction starting from ~25€.

They probably priced it on par with games that aren't optimized well. If you are going to use game hosting, you can check out ZAP for a multiple times lower price.

hetzner was long time shit talked but i have to say that i never had a root server (not vps) which was that cheap and stable like they have. also ddos protection is fair enough

I got a VPS on Vultr for free, $50 credits through a coupon so I'll use it for a month and see how it is.

I actually like having a VPS rather than only a gameserver, I can do more with it. And those dedicated prices are attractive. Kinda want that more now haha. Thanks!

By the way, I can see my server has 90ms ping. A lot of servers have the same ping. What's the deal with that?

Rent a server in Hong Kong and you'll see that isn't the case. Anyway, as stated above, I've typically used OVH and SoYouStart dedicated machines. I've gotten to know their support team well enough that I could even think of switching. Let us know how the Vultr VPS turns out for you!

Hello, I'm new here and looking for RAGEMP server hosting. I want to test how it will be working on low budget hosting. Someone has experience with GamingDelux and ZAP Hosting? They are absolutely cheaper. To start, I need a max 100 slots server to testing my mods and see whether people will play on the server. Do you have any advice?
