After i posted the link to THIS thread the 100th time now in Discord, i thought about updating it and give you guys some tips for server-sided modding in RageMP. This way you can add every file which effects the gta world (ymap, ytyp, ydr, ybn, ytd, yft, meta, etc.) First of all we're looking at what you're gonna need: A dlcpack base: I would recommend Dekurwinators because inside the .rpf he tells you where each file belongs. Although you can choose between different dlcpacks prepared for your needs https://dekurwinator-mods.bitrix24.site/dlctemplates/ Your files: For this purpose i made a quick ymap at the spawnpoint http://www.mediafire.com/file/s5s0n4v2rdgao0z/file OpenIV: Is needed to open .rpf files, visualize files like models or collisions and a lot of other stuff http://openiv.com/ Lets get started: After you downloaded everything, you can extract all files. All you need from the dlcbase is the template1 folder with the dlc.rpf file inside. Now you open the dlc.rpf via OpenIV and navigate into dlc.rpf\x64\levels\gta5\props\map_meta.rpf. This is the correct place to paste your ymap in: To paste your files in you have to click on "edit mode" (this prevents you from accidently deleting stuff) and just drop it in. You can delete custom_placement, _manifest and the files within the other folders to have a clean dlcpack (i would recommend not to delete the readme texts to know where each file belongs). Do not rename folders or files within the rpf because the paths inside are set in the content.xml and changes to the structure without the right adjustments crashes your game. Now you extract the files i uploaded for the tutorial (map1.ymap and _manifest.ymf) and drop it in. You can close OpenIV and open your Rage folder. Inside your server folder you navigate to RageMP\server-files\client_packages\game_resources\dlcpacks and paste the template1 folder with the dlc.rpf. This is all you have to do to add custom files to your RageMP Server. Now you just have to start it and look to your left to see the result: FAQ Does this work with 0.3.7 too? - No, to add files to your 0.3.7 server you have to follow Soupiests Tutorial. I have a .xml file, how do i add that? - To add .xml files you have to convert them into .ymap. I would recommend to create maps with Codewalker anyway because you can export your map directly to .ymap. Do i need to affix all files? - No, since version 1.1 affixing the files is no longer required. My game crashes while loading, what to do? - If your game crashes while loading there can be many reasons. First thing i would check is the folder structure of your dlc.rpf and compare it to the content.xml. I did everything as you told but nothing appeared ingame? - If you cant see any changes check if your dlc.rpf is in the right place (RageMP\server-files\client_packages\game_resources\dlcpacks\foldername\dlc.rpf). Below is a list of issues that have been asked and resolved on Discord, thought I'd share it on here for those who aren't on the Discord. If something below doesn't work or you had an issue which you fixed and knew how to fix it, let me know and I can add it to the list System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception (0x80004005) Disable any antivirus software or add an exception in your antivirus to not do anything with RageMP files on your computer and try to install Rage again. This error is most common with users antivirus software removing RageMP files. If disabling your antivirus/windows defender still doesn't fix this, right click on RageMP and select 'Troubleshoot compatibility'. This has also been said to fix the issue ERROR: Your game version is not supported by RAGE Multiplayer. If GTA V has just updated, this error will show, wait for RageMP to update, if there has been no update, upgrade your GTA V version as you're running an outdated version. https://support.rockstargames.com/hc/en-us/articles/115014280127-Verifying-system-files-on-your-PC-for-GTAV System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path '...' is denied Run RageMP as an administrator. The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP140.dll was not found Install the below 2 packages https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=52685 https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=53344&desc=dotnet462 System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (522) Origin Connection Time-out. Happens when the servers are down, keep checking back or wait for an announcement to let you know when they're back online. undefined:0 Right now there isn't a clear answer in this, however, some have fixed by allowing RageMP through their firewall, and some fixed it by closing all programs on their computer to free up their RAM/CPU and then loading into a server. As of ~0.3.6: If you're a Windows 8/8.1 user you'll experience this, no fix for this as of yet as it may be software not supporting Windows 8 Game launching into Singleplayer (Steam Version) Completely quit Steam, then run RageMP and let RageMP launch steam and the game and you should load into the game. This, however, doesn't always work for Steam users but has worked for some. OR Make sure you have the Visual C++ redistributable 2015 (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145) Game is crashing before it's even launched Some players have reported if you have another GTA V Multiplayer Mod installed inside your GTA V folder, you should remove this and it has been known to fix this issue. NVIDIA USERS: Disable Nvidia Shadowplay and see if that stops the crashing, some players have reported issues with this. Game is crashing once I join a server(As soon as it says 'Multiplayer started') Try moving your RageMP to a different drive (For example, from C:\ to D:\) If the server has voice chat, disable anything that may be blocking your microphone or any voice changers, this causes you to crash. System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden Your IP is blocked and if it isn't done on purpose, you should use a VPN to view the master list. You can disable it once you begin connecting to a server. Failed to retrieve the install directory This can occur if you've selected the wrong directory, or possibly that you have an outdated GTAV.exe/GTA V files. Make sure you're selecting the right directory, it should contain your GTAV.exe file. If you're sure it's the right directory, it has been said that you can try reverifying your game files as you may have an outdated/corrupt/modified GTAV.exe that RageMP isn't picking up. RageMP freezes each time I click on a server This happens when the directory you've selected doesn't contain a GTAV.exe most of the time. Another reason can be that if you have a Steam version, that you aren't logged into Steam so it's unable to launch GTA V. I launch RageMP and nothing happens Disable your antivirus, this can happen when you're missing files. If you don't have one installed, try reinstalling RageMP again. I'm getting frameskipping while playing on any server If you run autohotkey, try turning it off before launching RageMP. If you run on a 144Hz monitor, lowering your FPS/Hz to 60 seems to stop this from happening. GTA V starts up with a black screen and then suddenly closes/crashes after clicking 'Play Now' If this is the first time ever using RageMP or you have just reinstalled RageMP, this will make your client crash as the 'Play Now' button is used to reconnect to your last connected server. Please use the 'Servers' tab or the 'Direct Connect' tab to join a server first, then you can use the Play Now button to reconnect to your last joined server. My game is crashing when I'm out there the construction zone/middle of Los Santos This is a known crash zone, look at the image below to confirm you're crashing in this area. However, it is possible to get this fixed by doing the following Go to Documents / Rockstar Games / GTA V / Profiles Highlight all of the folders Optional: Send to -> Compressed folder (zip) [So you don't lose your campaign progress] Delete all of the folders Restart your Game When you restart, it will ask where to get your save file from, click 'Local Only' Map of the crash zone A legal up to date Grand Theft Auto V copy is required to play Rage Multiplayer If you pirated the game, there's no fix, buy the game as Rage Multiplayer does not support pirated versions of the game. If you have purchased the game some files may have not updated properly, start by verifying your game files, if that doesn't fix it, go into your game folder and delete 'GTA5.exe' and then use 'PlayGTA5.exe' and run the game. After this you should be able to play RageMP If your issue isn't listed on any of the above, try all of these following steps, not everything in this list will help, but 90% of the time one of these will resolve your issue Reinstall RageMP Make sure you have a clean game, no mods should be installed (To make troubleshooting easier and because they don't work with RageMP) Reinstall GTA V or verify the files through Steam/Social Club Run RageMP with Admin rights Make sure you have the required redistributables (This and This) Install RageMP and GTA V on the same drive Install RageMP and GTA V on different drives. Disable any overlays (For example, Steam overlay, OBS, Discord overlay, Overwolf). Make sure you have a save file(started Singleplayer and saved the game). Uninstall all other GTA V Multiplayer Mods. Disable your firewall/antivirus or add an exception to your firewall or antivirus so it doesn't do anything to the RageMP exe files Right click on ragemp.exe and select Troubleshoot compatibility (NVIDIA USERS) Disable Shadowplay (STEAM ONLY) Completely close Steam, and then launch RageMP and let RageMP open Steam. If you're still having issues, I suggest you join the RageMP discord and asking for help in the support channel to get live help. Also if any of this information is wrong, reply here and I'll update the thread.

Since our server is based around the Dutch language, this post shall continue in Dutch. Azure Roleplay is een Nederlandstalige GTA 5 Voice RP server in ontwikkeling op RAGE Multiplayer, gericht op high-end storytelling roleplay. De server is tot stand gekomen na ontevredenheid van beide oprichters over de huidige Nederlandstalige roleplay communities en servers op GTA 5. Azure's visie is gebaseerd op 3 hoofdpilaren die dienen als fundament voor alle ontwikkelingen en keuzes rondom de server. Pilaar I - Roleplay Voorop Op deze server staat roleplay altijd voorop. De focus ligt hier voornamelijk op high-end storydriven scenario's. Dit houdt in dat de voorkeur altijd uit gaat naar originele en creatieve roleplay die memorabel is voor alle spelers. Het eindeloos grinden wordt hier niet gepromoot en Azure's staff doet hun best om roleplay ook zo veel mogelijk te belonen op een gepaste manier. Hopelijk resulteert dit in meer focus op kwalitatieve roleplay dan kwantitatief grinden voor geld. Gaandeweg zal het server management ook initiatieven opzetten om deze pilaar nog meer te stimuleren. Pilaar II - Toxic Nultolerantie Als iets niet getolereerd wordt op Azure Roleplay is het toxic gedrag of "trolling". Negativiteit is iets wat hier niet gewaardeerd wordt en zal dan ook hard en direct aangepakt worden. De staff staat altijd open voor volwassen en constructieve discussies, maar spelers met een bekrompen mindset kunnen betere een andere community zoeken. Azure's einddoel is om een aangename omgeving te creëren voor al haar spelers, waar men met plezier kan spelen. Pilaar III - Stabiel Server Beheer Als er iets funest is voor spelers van een grote en actieve community, is het abrupt sluiten ervan. Azure Roleplay is dan ook gebouwd op een stabiel server beheer wat elkaar al langer dan 15 jaar in het echt kent. Er zal professioneel en betrouwbaar gehandeld worden in alle situaties. Zo willen wij waarborgen dat niemand zijn of haar dierbare karakters en assets verliest om wat voor een reden dan ook. Azure Roleplay streeft ernaar om anders dan andere GTA V roleplay servers te zijn. Wij hopen dit met deze server features te verwezenlijken. Uniek Script Framework Het Azure Roleplay script is een uniek framework wat in zijn geheel is bedacht en ontwikkeld door het development team. Op de server vind je bekende features en concepten uit de GTA V roleplay wereld, maar ook vernieuwende ideeën en systemen. Wij draaien dus niet op een standaard-framework of dergelijken. Dit is een authentieke server, zoals geen ander. GTA Storyworld De Grand Theft Auto storyworld is in-game overal om je heen te zien en te beleven. Daarom omarmen wij bij Azure Roleplay deze ook in ons doen en laten. Zo werk je bij ons op de server ook niet bij het Nederlandse politiekorps, maar bij de Los Santos Police Department (LSPD). Ook heet de stad gewoon Los Santos en worden merknamen gehanteerd zoals gevestigd in de GTA games zelf. Dit houdt de roleplay duidelijk en strak qua communicatie. Hiermee hopen wij meer immersie te creëren voor alle spelers. Organization System Het "organization system" bij Azure Roleplay is een systeem wat aangeboden wordt aan spelers die van plan zijn om een eigen organisatie te starten in het legale of illegale circuit. Via dit systeem kan het Azure staff-team initiatieven ondersteunen en motiveren. Zo wordt creatieve roleplay nog meer gestimuleerd en hopen wij dat spelers hun eigen plannen zo volledig mogelijk kunnen waarmaken. Hello Rage:MP staff, When you try to connect to some server without having, lets say, Steam running, nothing happens. I suggest you add a message that says something like "You need to Run Steam first if you want to connect to rage:mp server" For some players it would be confusing when there is nothing happening and it wont start the game.
