1. Below is a list of issues that have been asked and resolved on Discord, thought I'd share it on here for those who aren't on the Discord. If something below doesn't work or you had an issue which you fixed and knew how to fix it, let me know and I can add it to the list System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception (0x80004005) Disable any antivirus software or add an exception in your antivirus to not do anything with RageMP files on your computer and try to install Rage again. This error is most common with users antivirus software removing RageMP files. If disabling your antivirus/windows defender still doesn't fix this, right click on RageMP and select 'Troubleshoot compatibility'. This has also been said to fix the issue ERROR: Your game version is not supported by RAGE Multiplayer. If GTA V has just updated, this error will show, wait for RageMP to update, if there has been no update, upgrade your GTA V version as you're running an outdated version. https://support.rockstargames.com/hc/en-us/articles/115014280127-Verifying-system-files-on-your-PC-for-GTAV System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path '...' is denied Run RageMP as an administrator. The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP140.dll was not found Install the below 2 packages https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=52685 https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=53344&desc=dotnet462 System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (522) Origin Connection Time-out. Happens when the servers are down, keep checking back or wait for an announcement to let you know when they're back online. undefined:0 Right now there isn't a clear answer in this, however, some have fixed by allowing RageMP through their firewall, and some fixed it by closing all programs on their computer to free up their RAM/CPU and then loading into a server. As of ~0.3.6: If you're a Windows 8/8.1 user you'll experience this, no fix for this as of yet as it may be software not supporting Windows 8 Game launching into Singleplayer (Steam Version) Completely quit Steam, then run RageMP and let RageMP launch steam and the game and you should load into the game. This, however, doesn't always work for Steam users but has worked for some. OR Make sure you have the Visual C++ redistributable 2015 (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145) Game is crashing before it's even launched Some players have reported if you have another GTA V Multiplayer Mod installed inside your GTA V folder, you should remove this and it has been known to fix this issue. NVIDIA USERS: Disable Nvidia Shadowplay and see if that stops the crashing, some players have reported issues with this. Game is crashing once I join a server(As soon as it says 'Multiplayer started') Try moving your RageMP to a different drive (For example, from C:\ to D:\) If the server has voice chat, disable anything that may be blocking your microphone or any voice changers, this causes you to crash. System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden Your IP is blocked and if it isn't done on purpose, you should use a VPN to view the master list. You can disable it once you begin connecting to a server. Failed to retrieve the install directory This can occur if you've selected the wrong directory, or possibly that you have an outdated GTAV.exe/GTA V files. Make sure you're selecting the right directory, it should contain your GTAV.exe file. If you're sure it's the right directory, it has been said that you can try reverifying your game files as you may have an outdated/corrupt/modified GTAV.exe that RageMP isn't picking up. RageMP freezes each time I click on a server This happens when the directory you've selected doesn't contain a GTAV.exe most of the time. Another reason can be that if you have a Steam version, that you aren't logged into Steam so it's unable to launch GTA V. I launch RageMP and nothing happens Disable your antivirus, this can happen when you're missing files. If you don't have one installed, try reinstalling RageMP again. I'm getting frameskipping while playing on any server If you run autohotkey, try turning it off before launching RageMP. If you run on a 144Hz monitor, lowering your FPS/Hz to 60 seems to stop this from happening. GTA V starts up with a black screen and then suddenly closes/crashes after clicking 'Play Now' If this is the first time ever using RageMP or you have just reinstalled RageMP, this will make your client crash as the 'Play Now' button is used to reconnect to your last connected server. Please use the 'Servers' tab or the 'Direct Connect' tab to join a server first, then you can use the Play Now button to reconnect to your last joined server. My game is crashing when I'm out there the construction zone/middle of Los Santos This is a known crash zone, look at the image below to confirm you're crashing in this area. However, it is possible to get this fixed by doing the following Go to Documents / Rockstar Games / GTA V / Profiles Highlight all of the folders Optional: Send to -> Compressed folder (zip) [So you don't lose your campaign progress] Delete all of the folders Restart your Game When you restart, it will ask where to get your save file from, click 'Local Only' Map of the crash zone A legal up to date Grand Theft Auto V copy is required to play Rage Multiplayer If you pirated the game, there's no fix, buy the game as Rage Multiplayer does not support pirated versions of the game. If you have purchased the game some files may have not updated properly, start by verifying your game files, if that doesn't fix it, go into your game folder and delete 'GTA5.exe' and then use 'PlayGTA5.exe' and run the game. After this you should be able to play RageMP If your issue isn't listed on any of the above, try all of these following steps, not everything in this list will help, but 90% of the time one of these will resolve your issue Reinstall RageMP Make sure you have a clean game, no mods should be installed (To make troubleshooting easier and because they don't work with RageMP) Reinstall GTA V or verify the files through Steam/Social Club Run RageMP with Admin rights Make sure you have the required redistributables (This and This) Install RageMP and GTA V on the same drive Install RageMP and GTA V on different drives. Disable any overlays (For example, Steam overlay, OBS, Discord overlay, Overwolf). Make sure you have a save file(started Singleplayer and saved the game). Uninstall all other GTA V Multiplayer Mods. Disable your firewall/antivirus or add an exception to your firewall or antivirus so it doesn't do anything to the RageMP exe files Right click on ragemp.exe and select Troubleshoot compatibility (NVIDIA USERS) Disable Shadowplay (STEAM ONLY) Completely close Steam, and then launch RageMP and let RageMP open Steam. If you're still having issues, I suggest you join the RageMP discord and asking for help in the support channel to get live help. Also if any of this information is wrong, reply here and I'll update the thread.

  2. How to solve common problems using Rage:MP 1.1 Hello, everyone! About a month ago, my team and I opened a 1.1 version Rage:MP server in Italy and we had the chance to test the launcher on hundreds of different players, experiencing a lot of boot problems. Over time we collected these problems and their solutions and, seeing many of these unsolved problems around the web, we thought it might be useful for other people in this community to have an equivalent post written in English that could help players around the world to quickly solve these problems. This small guide has therefore been translated from the original in Italian created for South Valley Roleplay and it is now at your complete disposal. Rage:MP crashes immediately after launch If you purchased the game on Epic Games: Launch Epic Games; Start Rage:MP. Launch Rockstar Games Launcher: Make sure there are no GTA V updates to be made; Make sure you are logged into a Rockstar Social Club account. Make sure that you do not have any mod installed on the game and that it starts correctly in single player. Rage:MP stays put indefinitely on "Launching the game..." or "Establishing Connection..." and ends up returning "Error: Game Injection Has Timed Out" as an error. Restart your computer; If it does not resolve, disable all antivirus and firewall including Windows Defender and/or set an exception on the Rage:MP folder; If it does not start up yet, reinstall Rage:MP with antivirus deactivated. Rage:MP can't find GTA V installation (path not found) Make sure GTA V works in single player; Make sure you have downloaded Rockstar Games Launcher and logged in; Reinstall Rage:MP; If the error persists, navigate to the GTA V installation folder, select it and press OK. Rage:MP does not start after logging into another server Move into the Rage:MP folder; Select all files and folders except config.xml and updater.exe and delete them; Launch updater.exe. GTA V crashes after a few minutes of play Visit this website; Download vc_redist.x86.exe and run it; Restart the computer; If this does not solve the problem, reinstall GTA V. Rage:MP does not start by returning an error "Your game version is not supported by RAGE Multiplayer" Start Rockstar Games Launcher; Update GTA V if available; Go into the Rage:MP folder; Right-click on config.xml and open it with notepad or any other text editor; Delete the contents and insert the following:
prerelease
Save config.xml; Delete all the contents of the folder excluded config.xml and updater.exe; Start updater.exe. Rage:MP does not start after having previously started it in a version other than 1.1 or in a developers version Enter the Rage:MP folder; Right-click config.xml and open it with your notepad or any other text editor; Delete the content and insert the following one inside:
prerelease
Save config.xml file; Delete all the contents of the folder excluded config.xml and updater.exe; Start updater.exe. Rage:MP does not start by returning an error "Unable to start the program because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is not present in the pc". Perform a file integrity check using Rockstar Games Launcher: Launch Rockstar Games Launcher; Click on Settings; Click on GTA 5 from the menu on the left (if it does not appear, it means the game is not installed); Click on Verify Integrity. If it does not solve, reload and reinstall GTA 5. I can't access Rage:MP with a physical copy of the game Before starting Rage:MP make sure you have created a Rockstar Games Social Club account and register your copy on the Rockstar website. GTA V is already running despite restarting the computer Uninstall Rockstar Social Club and Social Club Launcher; Deletes the GTA5.exe file from the GTA V folder; Restart your computer; Open Epic Games or Steam or Rockstar Game Launcher depending on the platform on which you purchased the game; Restart Rage:MP; If it does not solve the problem, deactivate the Windows quick start: Follow this tutorial to do that. Rage:MP doesn't start because it tries to open the game from Epic Games/Steam when it's actually on Rockstar Games Launcher Deletes any trace of previous GTA 5 installations by Epic Games/Steam: Clean the contents of the folders usually found in Documents and dedicated to the two stores. Reinstall Rage:MP; If it doesn't resolve, install again the game directly from Epic Games or Steam. Rage:MP does not start and I have mods installed in single player Move into the GTA 5 folder; If present, delete the mods folder; Start Rage:MP; If it does not resolve, reload and reinstall a clean version of the game. Rage:MP shows a message "FATAL ERROR: .NET Host did not initialize correctly!". Uninstall Rage:MP; Disable any antivirus and firewall including Windows Defender; Reinstall Rage:MP; Start updater.exe. Rage:MP crashes with error "ERROR: Could not access game process. Shutdown Steam/RGS/EGS and try again" If you have Kaspersky, click on the gear icon at the bottom left; Disable the "System Control" option; Restart Rage:MP; If the problem persists, disable any other antivirus and firewall installed on your PC and restart Rage:MP again. Rage:MP Crash after "Finishing Handshake": If you have only one disk, uninstall RAGE:MP and install it in C:/RAGEMP, (without using the default path in Programs x86); If you have two discs, put RAGE:MP on the same disc as GTAV; If this procedure does not work, start GTAV history mode, close it and open RAGE:MP. All these solutions are based on a few examples and may not work for more particular cases that I have not seen so far. However, I hope it will help most of you to solve your Rage:MP access problems.

  3. Version 1.0.4

    4086 downloads

Most of the server developers (ones that don't patiently wait for *something large*, though this resource is powerful enough) use their own server-side object attachments implementation that represents some large JSON with all the object and attachment information. This resource lets you cache "static attachments" in the client-side code so thanks to efficient utilization of the shared data it just uses a small shared variable to do the attachment processing without any need to create server-side objects nor send its data. For example, if you want to attach a specific object to specific ped bone with spefic bone offset and object rotation, this will only use a ~4-8 byte shared variable keeping it accurate. User-made implementations I have seen before usually take ~100 bytes per an object. API: Client-side mp.attachmentMngr.register(attachmentId, model, bone, offset, rotation) mp.attachmentMngr.addLocal(attachmentId) (synced!) mp.attachmentMngr.removeLocal(attachmentId) (synced!) API: Server-side player.addAttachment(attachmentId, remove) player.hasAttachment(attachmentId) Example Resource There's an example resource in /client-packages/epic-attachments folder. It lets you toggle attachments (there are like 30 attachments) using a NativeUI-based menu. Thanks to root for his contributions made to the example resource.

  6. To anyone using 1.1 and having a problem with objects spawning but not actually attaching, replace client_packages/static-attachments/index.js with this: https://gist.github.com/root-cause/c68468e47bc8afd4972fb8ab72e7c380
