  1. SAMP asked for just a password that could be adjusted in the server's configuration files, but it worked in a way that blocked client connection request before even connecting to the server. This functionality was useful for private servers, beta test servers etc. It'll be even more useful for RageMP which has client file downloads, these downloads should not even happen if the login is incorrect and hence protect people from downloading/stealing files. Here's a screenshot that I lifted from Google. The first box is for the server password and the second is the RCON password. Actual game account login happened after succesfuly connecting. ` Where's the download for 1.1 btw?
  2. The server password system never confused anyone in SAMP. It can easily be rectified by adding some sort of 'Optional' tag or message, as well as displaying on the Masterlist whether a server is locked or unlocked and hence would require a login. A mere script wouldn't really help because that would factor in after someone has downloaded server dependencies/files whereas a password protection should have a higher priority and hence decline connection to the server beforehand if the login is incorrect. As for the favorites tab, where is it? You don't mean Direct Connect? Because that's hardly similar to a favorites tab (like SAMP's).
  3. Is it possible to integrate the server password system from SAMP that's very much needed, especially for private servers. This system can help prevent unauthorized users from downloading server files by instantly rejecting connection if the login was incorrect. It'll function pretty much the same way, login username and password can be defined in the server configuration file. The option to input the username and password would be alongside the server address in Direct Connect. Alternatively, have a Favorites tab where players can save the address of their preferred servers.
