version error

Steam or Social Club ?
 

download the backup put it in your install dir of GTA. Backup you actual files.

1. /update/update.rpf
2. GTA5.exe
3. GTA5launcher.exe
4. steam_api.64.dll

Download Backup of 1.42 Steam

Download Backup of  1.42 SocialClub

I can still get back to that version by updating
I use social club

I downloaded the backup but when I re-enter the game I update it again!

if you have sc you need to block, if you have steam you should deactivate automatic update on the game properties
