How do I start my journey in mapping?

I want to do mapping in GTA 5. This is not out of motivation to make money, just a hobby, because it looks interesting when you create an object on the map.

Well, my question is this: how do I learn mapping? I tried to find something in the Russian-speaking community (because I'm from here), but I found the answer only in CodeWalker, but even then the guide was so-so, because the author of that beautiful guide did not understand what to do and how to do it.

How to develop in this direction? Does anyone have any recommendations?
