In game login not working

When I load into the server im stuck on the login screen. i can hit escape and the map will show up with all the integrated mods, however, when actually attempting to login nothing happens. I noticed that the downloading info in the bottom left pops up fairly often. I am also working with the epic games version. any help is appreciated. thanks
