RageMP does not start (updater.exe , "RAGE Multiplayer Updater")

Hello dear friends,

I'm having a weird issue on my machine where I cannot launch RageMP, very similar to this:

It seems like the "Rage Multiplayer Updater" , or, updater.exe proccess is stuck.

I can see it running in the background consuming ~3.2MB of RAM but it is still stuck;

I have already tried:

• Reinstalling dozens of times
• Updating Windows 10
• Updating NVIDIA drivers
• Making sure I have Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015
• and NET Framework 4.6.2 installed
• Disabling Anti Virus
• Restarting Router (ISP DHCP changed WAN IP address)
• Deleting some 'RageMP' entries I could find from the regedit

I am kind of desperate at this moment for any help I can get.

All we can do is try to guide you into fixing your problem, it's on your PC so not much other than that we can do.

Yeah, I understand that...

But I'm still wondering what could cause this kind of issue; even after reinstalling the game, and RAGE, and doing many things.

Is there anything else I can try?

Maybe reinstall your OS if that's an option, clean reinstall always helps.

I have used "Revo Uninstaller" in order to uninstall RAGE.

This uninstalls and deletes all file registries correlated to RAGE.

I then reinstalled RAGE, which ultimately fixed the issue.

 

I would advise pinning this and using this miracle tool more often.
