Client not starting

So I just got rage today, and as soon as I try to launch into a random server, it tells me that I have to update to 1.42 to play. The problem is that I updated to 1.42 months ago. Note that this is the bought version of GTA V and not the pirated version. Any help would be appreciated.

Hmm, this is weird. So it's good we got past the first layer of questioning (Legit Copy). So, let's slowly start to work down the list.. Is this a fresh install of RAGE? (It must be if it's giving that error, right?), where do you have RAGE installed to? (Is the folder located within your GTA V Directory), do you have any other modifications that may conflict with RAGE?

Show me the screenshot of the type and ver
on this path in the registry - "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\RAGE-MP"

 

And tell me your version of the game (steam or social club)?

It's the social club version and there are no files called type or ver in the Registry.

It's installed to C:\RAGE-MP and I got rage from the gta5-mods.com link, and are mods not allowed?

Well, it isn't that they are not allowed but they may be conflicting.

What kemperrr was trying to say was, go into regedit. Do the following:

Windows Key + R (Or click start and type run) and then type regedit and press enter and then do the following:

on this path in the registry - "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\RAGE-MP"

And like Joshua said mods can be an issue so you should remove them.
