Any idea how to make an infinite ammo system that won't use a lot of resources?

Title says it all I believe. I want to make an infinite ammo system for all guns, problem is I got no idea where to start to make sure the system won't waste a lot of server resources.

You could just set their ammo to like 99999 no?
