Flavianooo Posted September 28 Posted September 28 (edited) Our hosting provider has a firewall system that filters incoming packets. In the event of a DDoS attack, they whitelist the IP addresses of players who are already connected and temporarily block other IP addresses. However, we’re encountering an issue with this system specifically in relation to the RageMP server process. Normally, the firewall works well with other games, but there’s an odd situation with RageMP. If there is a network timeout lasting a few seconds, the server immediately stops listening on some of the UDP ports (such as port 57736, though this number varies). These ports are essential for RageMP masterlist and client (player) connections. We discussed this with our hosting provider, and they informed us that they need an IP address or port information from RageMP to add to their whitelist. Since we host a large number of players, resolving this issue is crucial for us. Thanks. Edited September 28 by Flavianooo
Flavianooo Posted September 28 Author Posted September 28 I just found a screenshot of the listening UDP ports I took when all the players had disconnected, and access to the RageMP server had been blocked. (düzenlendi) https://imgur.com/3ieG0U8 Now that the server is active and running, these are the UDP ports. https://imgur.com/kj8sRDL 36956 port was different the last time this issue occured, it was 57736 (this is a connection port between ragemp masterlist/network or something like that which is a variable number imo)
