Hey everyone, I’m looking for people to join me in building my upcoming RPG server.

About me

I’ve been coding for around 11–12 years, started when I was 9. I currently work remotely in Spain as a C# software engineer. I’m experienced in backend security, secure client development, and for a few years I was an MTA cheat developer, which helped me understand how to build systems that are extremely hard to exploit.

I’ve created several large MTA servers in the Polish community. My latest one, districtMTA, reached about 350 concurrent players, which is huge for polish MTA community. The server was extremely secure; cheating was basically not possible except for harmless noclip flying which I didn’t bother blocking.

Since MTA is slowly dying, I’m now switching to RAGE.

 

What the server is about

This will be a true RPG server, not a strict roleplay server. You can roleplay if you want, but nothing is forced. On GTA 5 most of roleplay servers are boring and repetitive.

You’ll do jobs, earn money, buy a house, furnish it, buy cars and tune them, invite friends over to watch movies on in-game TVs, or run cooperative jobs together. Factions like LSPD, LSMD, LSRA will exist, but joining them requires an application reviewed by faction leaders. Factions must roleplay their roles, but regular players aren’t required to.

A major focus is story-driven missions (co-op is possible but not confirmed). Missions are connected to seasonal themes through a season pass. At the end of each season, a live event will continue the story and unlock new missions. Missions reward stars for the pass, and the pass will offer unique cosmetic items (vehicles, clothes, particles, etc.) that won’t return after the season ends.

Long-term vision

- Promote the server through big GTA V YouTubers
- After launch, hire or recruit people to create missions using the in-game mission editor and to help develop the story
- Gradually expand to more languages
- Aim for ~2000 peak players per server (or more)
- Deliver long-term seasonal story arcs and regular content updates

 

About the project

The core architecture is mostly complete. All communication is secured: encrypted events with per-player salts, fingerprint-based identification, and a complete UI built inside a single integrated CEF browser. Everything is written in TypeScript with strict OOP principles.
Three servers are planned at first: Polish, English, and Russian — with more languages added later.
I work only in my free time, so the project will take time. Realistically, development will continue for about one more year, and the planned release is 1st October 2026, around Halloween. That date is not final, just a target.

 

Who I’m looking for

I’m not looking for gameplay developers — I prefer writing the core code myself. Right now I’m looking for:
- UI designers
- 3D artists experienced in GTA V assets (especially buildings/interiors)
- Russian translators (near the end of the translation stage)
