Hello

About two weeks after the Rockstar update, a problem appeared: GTA, which had been working properly on the laptop for several years, stopped launching. A black screen appears when loading the Rage multiplayer, but the loading music plays. We tried installing it on another laptop, but the problem persisted. We contacted the server's technical support, followed their recommendations. Here's what we did:

Windows latest 10, with maximum updates, just installed the license
No mods No third-party antivirus software was installed

no any programms except gta was installed
The commandline file is missing
No ad block or highlight, not installed
The game folders are added to the Windows Defender exceptions
All protections are disabled, except for real-time protection, which is disabled every time before starting the game.
The default video card drivers from Windows were installed, but it didn't help.
Reinstalling them from Acer didn't help either. No driver booster or similar software was used.
The priorities are set to maximum performance.

I've seen a lot of posts about this issue, but has anyone found a solution?

So looking into this further...

Verbose DirectX logs are clean as a whistle. The GPU rendering reacts normally when trying to alt+enter (it properly windows/fullscreens the client). It looks like RageMP's CEF/browser UI is failing to render. This is why we got the GTA V normal music, but not the server's music, or foot traffic sounds, or anything like that. Basically it launches the game, but doesn't start the RageMP layer that actually starts the proper server.
The other option is that RageMP's waiting for some sort of callback that never happens... Some social club handshake, some embedded browser event, ... that never happens. Unclear.

Pressing F8 to open the console makes the cursor appear, interestingly... So something is loaded, but what? Not clear. Gonna keep trying tomorrow to find out more about this weird mess since a lot of people have the issue apparently, but no fix/support was had.
