Can someone explain serverside/clientside?

Hello. I spent most of my time with SA-MP and it is now time to move onto RageMP but when it comes to C# and Javascript, I am clueless. I am also clueless about this whole serverside/clientside thing and I have questions for you advanced programmers.

 

1- What is serverside? What it allows us to do? Can we do all of our programming on this side?

2- What is clientside? What it allows us to do? Can we do all of our programming on this side?

3- Do I have to code/script in both languages? (Meaning C# and Javascript combined)

(Extra Question) 4- Can you recommend me some good tutorials for C# and Javascript?
