I have 2 GTA V's installed: one for MP and other with a lot of mods to SP.
Rage mp (using the MP GTA V path) works great. It isn't a problem ;)

I don't get why you quoted me to say it all works, I never said having two of them won't work? This comment wasn't needed.

Don't be a dumb ass. I don't care what you thing or not. Who are u think to tell me what's needed or not? Following ur stupid logic, at first your Question that i quoted is that really isn't needed.

I'm dumb for telling you that your response wasn't needed because it had 0 to do with what you quoted from my comment? I think you need a better choice of words. I can think and say what I want within the rules, it's the internet dude. Your logic is flawed, my comment you quoted was me troubleshooting and helping someone out to figure out their issue. How is you saying 'I have 2 GTA V's installed' contribute anything to this topic? Reread what I said, I DIDN'T say having two installs of GTA V won't make Rage work, I was only asking if HE HAD two installs for the fact he could have been selecting the wrong path. You're making yourself look like a fool.

So I'm trying to set up rage MP and I keep coming across this issue: "Failed to retrieve install directory. Specify your game path now? Press cancel to terminate RAGE Multiplayer".

After which it prompts me to select the GTA 5 directory. So, I link it to the GTA directory via Steam/steamapps/common then Grand Theft Auto V on my D drive. I click 'OK' and I get the same message asking for me to Specify the game path.

Any suggestions? I'm kind of at a loss here...

If you guys got it off of the epic store make sure to select the file off of the epic store and not the rockstar launcher

Verify integrity of game files if on steam, if on any other platform check main gtav directory for launcher.exe and gtav.exe make sure you have all the required GTAV launch exe files and main exe. This kicks the error for me when i restarted after deleting the launcher and main exe files due to another error that happens when GTAV stays open. Credits to Tank#2933 for finding this error fix.

Hey, I had the same problem but I got it fixed, maybe it will work for you too.

If you had to choose the install path on your own, don´t take the "Launcher" folder, use the "Grand Theft Auto V" folder instead.

That worked for me.
