The idea for this server started back in 2017, with dozens of ideas written in Excel documents to get a glimpse of how everything should work. Developers have come and gone and multiple other reasons have delayed this project for a long time. Now, in 2019, we can finally announce that the first steps have been made! A long journey is still ahead of us but we will keep you updated as progress is made. Below a list of some of the things that we have done so far. Currently everything is written to be command based. Eventually (almost) every command will be put in a menu so you don't have to memorize 900 commands. The menu's will look like GTA Online menu's like the one below. Also, we are working to get a local voice chat working for those that don't like to type their sentences. Player System Added a SA-MP like ID system that gives you the next available ID when you login. This can be used in commands such as /pm <ID> <message>. Added a login and registration system for accounts and characters. Each account can hold up to 3 characters, donators can have 5. Added password encryption. Added the following commands /stats /id <partOfName> to get the player's server ID. /me /do /pm <player> <message> /factions to view a list of factions with the amount of online members. /o /w /togpm /blockpm <playerID/name> /re to reply to the last person that PMed you. /freq <slot> <frequency> /r, /r2, /r3, /r4, /r5 to speak in different radio slots. /admins /help to view a list of commands to help you further /gcommands (group commands) /fcommands (faction commands) /myvehicles '(' or /b to talk in local OOC chat /low /s(hout) Group System A small system that allows you to talk to your friends Out Of Character. Abusing this chat to notify group members of IC situations will result in the group being deleted and the involved members to be temporarily banned from joining groups. Added the following group commands: /gcommands to view all available group commands. /gon & /goff to view online and offline group members. /g to talk to online group members. /gaccept to accept an invite and join the group. /gcreate <name> /gdelete /ginvite & /guninvite <name> /gleave /gchangename <name> /gmakeleader <name> Admin System Each admin level will have their own set of commands. All commands below that level are also available. Added the following commands: /tpto /tptome /hduty /aduty /acduty (to change the color of the admin outfit) /slap /a (admin chat) /acommands /checkstats (/cs) <playerID/name> /aw (admin whisper) /aveh fix /aveh spawn <vehicleName> /aveh color <0-255>, <0-255>, <0-255> /aveh color2 <0-255>, <0-255>, <0-255> /aheal to heal someone /aarmor to give someone armor /otog (toggle global OOC chat) /awep to give a weapon to someone /aweplist to view a list of weapons Developers Needed Are you a C# or JavaScript developer or can you make good looking designs with just HTML and CSS or do you know someone who can? Or am I not understanding this. It's a very old development blog and I've just now been updating the RAGE thread. I may have created that system before GTA Network merged with RAGE (either it wasn't possible back then or I didn't know it existed).
Machiavelli Posted June 18, 2020 Author Posted June 18, 2020 Houses & Garages With dev blog #3 we introduce you to the House & Garage systems! Each house belongs into one of five categories: Trailer, Small House, House, Apartment, Villa. This will also be displayed in /myhouses and on the house label itself. Furthermore, each garage can be upgraded and downgraded to level 1-4. See the screenshot below how those levels look like. If you own a house, an icon will show up on your map and radar to show you where it is. If you rent at a house or your faction owns one (or multiple), they will also show up on your radar but with different colors. You'll also be able to store your drugs/items/weapons in a houselocker. It depends on your house-type how much you can store. We also added a new changelog channel on Discord to provide you with daily updates. You can go there right now and check out the commands we finished for the house and garage systems. This means there are only 2 illegal faction spots left, as well as the position for LSPD leader. In this update we have heavily focused on making some nice designs for the HUD (including money), player login-screen, online playerlist, SA-MP-like nametags (with healthbar) and we've fixed many bugs. You're also able to enter a vehicle as passenger by pressing 'G' now, just like SA-MP. See #media in Discord for more screenshots and #changelog for more updates. Also congratulations to Cuhz for obtaining official status with his MC Hounds Of Hell! This means the only faction leader positions that are open are the L.S.P.D leader position and 1 more illegal faction leader position. Furthermore, we are looking for testers. Today I would like to announce our fifth development blog, our biggest one yet: Drugs & Druglabs. There are 4 different types of drugs and 4 different druglabs: Cocaine, Heroin, Meth and Weed. You'll have to start the production by gathering chemicals and plants and it will take around 36 hours to finish your drug. However, you can upgrade the storage to produce more at once and you can also upgrade the production speed. A drug can only be produced in its specific druglab and factions (who don't own a weapon factory) will own a maximum of 2 druglabs. Players will NOT own druglabs, but a weedlab might be publicly accessible. Each drug (/usedrugs) has a different effect and it will last different amount of times. Cocaine (the best drug) will give 80 HP, where as weed will only give 20 HP. After launch more effects might be added to drugs (such as faster runspeed, more strength or a little less damage from bullets for a few seconds). Each drug also requires different chemicals/plants to grow. Weed would need a weedplant and soil to grow, whereas heroin would need a poppy plant, acetic anhydride, sodium carbonate and ammonium chloride. These chemicals and plants can be bought at random locations throughout San Andreas. Commands/usage: /druglab info/store/take/upgradeproduction/upgradestorage, /usedrugs [drugName]
Machiavelli Posted July 9, 2020 Author Posted July 9, 2020 (edited) Development Blog #6 Warehouses & HeadQuarters v0.3.6 Warehouses With the introduction to warehouses, players and factions will now have more space to store their weapons, drugs and other items. Before, you only had your house and inventory. With this update you will no longer have to worry about stacking up for war. It does come at a cost though, and the hourly tax ain't cheap either. Factions will be able to own multiple warehouses while players may only own one. For factions who have the funds, they may upgrade their storage to level 5. Players cannot upgrade their warehouse will be stuck at level 1. This means you will be able to store more than enough weapons, drugs and items for you and your friends, but you cannot be a massive hoarder. HeadQuarters Just like most other properties you'll be able to store stuff in your HQ. The space is NOT upgradeable and a HeadQuarter will have the same amount of storage space as a villa. Factions can own multiple (L.S.P.D, S.A.A.F) and leaders can change the faction's default HQ spawn as well as their members' individual HQ spawns. Unlike warehouses, where anyone can take weapons/items once when they have entered the property, inside a HQ only members will be able to take and store. To open/close the locker of the HQ you need a special HQ authority which a faction leader can give you. Once opened, any faction member can take anything from the HQ locker. Special thanks to Publics for developing the HQ system, resick for editing our screenshots and Gazzar , ABM and DeathStrike for testing most of the commands of these two systems.
